Shabby chic Tea Table.

Painting vintage furniture can really stress out some people. I was viewing one of my favorite blogs. Cindy at Romantic Home. She even got a comment that painting furniture is a crime. However I find the crime is charming tables like these are being discarded. You will usually see them in store or tea shops used for displays but rarely seen in homes today in it's finished state.
Painted furniture on the other hand is adored by so many today. Just look what Pink paint did for this vintage table. Now it is a thing of beauty for anyone who loves romantic style. What is a crime for some is one of passion for another.
I am passionate about my painted furniture. How about you?

I have both painted and unpainted antiques in my home. We love American Oak antiques and Steve draws the line on painting that.
The way I look at it, it's only paint--it's reversable!
And some pieces that you wouldn't look twice at in their regular state look beautiful painted...
I love the table you did--and your display is lovely--a feast for the eyes!!

Hi Becky,
You know I love painted furniture, that's about all I have but did you see that RA is now saying she likes some rustic unpainted furniture, what is everyone going to do now?? We all now she's the one that started this trend, I'm hoping alot of people get rid of their painted furniture, more for me!LOL. Think of all the fun were missing but we will be shopping together soon.

Just the type of table I'm still looking for!!! I have several different tables, including a drop leaf table that are waiting to be painted. Hopefully I won't run out of FALL before they get done!!! LOL!!!

Hi Becky
I was looking back at some of my older posts trying to catch up on alll the comments I missed over the last couple of weeks when I have been so busy and I noticed that you wanted to be included in the Thankful Thursday. I am so sorry I never responded back to you. Do you want to be part of it every Thursday or was it just that one time?
I will be back a little later to catch up on all your posts that I missed!
Hugs, Rhondi

I love those tables and am curently looking for one. My mother falls into the DON'T PAINT category.

She has given me such lovely antiques and would totally FREAK if I painted one of them. I have a really neat dresser that I was going to make into a bathroom vanity.....she said she would disown me. I guess, I'll keep looking for the discarded stuff to paint and alter....sigh......

You have a great blog.....I thought you might be in Oklahoma when I saw Eufala....we have one here with a HUGE lake also....

Your table looks beautiful painted. I'm all about painting some furniture! One of my favorite things to do. Now if I can just find a place to keep it all after I paint it. It is so hard to part with.

I love your table. My aunt had one like it - I wonder what happened to it.

I do love painted furniture, but I don't have any at the present time. I have had some in the past, but it moved to a new owner.
