Lilac and Purple and Photography Questions

4 Megapixels to 10 Megapixels that is the question
I am doodling around with a friend's camera trying to justify getting a new camera.

She has 10 megapixels and my old camera only had 4.

Do you see the difference between the 10 and the 4 of previous posts?

When you take still life photos what setting do you use?

Do you have lights off or on?

What kind of camera do you have?

Purple is my daughter's favorite color and so the upstairs suite was decorated with Natalie in mind. They say that purple is the color of royalty. I suppose we called her Princess enough for her to believe that she was. Our boys would definately say that she is the Princess. You can see more of the Natalie's Suite by going to http://www.roselakecottage.blogspot.com/

The old necklace was my Great Great Grandmother's. It has amethest stones which are also my birthstone so my Grandmother gave it to me when I got married.
I found the perfect Christmas Ornaments for the room.
I'll be showing you that tree before you know it.
Can you believe that Christmas is only 60 days away?

Hi Becky,I really can't tell the difference in your photos.
I like your pics.
Most of the time I leave the flash off. I try to take my pics in the daytime with the natural light coming in. I turn on the lamps too to give it more light in the room .Then when I load them into the computer I brighten and contrast them to my liking. I am still learning. Hope you get some more good responses on this post.

Hi Becky,
I have a Caseo 4.0 mp....I have had ths camera for a very long time....I hope it last me a few more years....it is getting old....The pictures you took look great ....I made them bigger and they both looked the same to me....I like to take my pictures both ways...flash on ...flash off....I like the natural light best...but sometimes it looks better with the flash....the slip covers I had to use the flash because they were to dark with the flash off....I think it just depends the look you want....The more pictures I take the better I am beginning to judge the way I want them...your pictures always look great !!!!!
Thank you for the sweet comments on my slip covers...they have been a bit of a challange but a fun one...
Did you figure out the link on your blog??? I didn't hear from you today so I hope you have it figured out....
Have a wonderful evening....
Hugs,
Mo ;-)

I don't pay to much attention to the settings on my camera. I keep saying that I'm going to learn how to use it but I never take the time. I think that my camera is 8mp. I know that some were higher when I bought it but I wanted one with a better zoom so that I could get close ups of Dolly Parton when I see her!
Mine is too big to carry in my purse and I regret that because I don't care it as much.

Not a big difference.... maybe just some lighting issues here, but that's it. Guess you'd have to play around with your new camera until you see what works better for you... good luck, and a happy photography day and rest of week to you.

Hi Becky,
How's your week going so far? I hope well.
I was trying to figure out which was which, but wasn't sure. Some of the photos look darker less washed out with more vibrant colors. The pictures themselves are lovely as is Natalie. I sneaked a peek at her wedding fotos the other day while at work and kept meaning to get back to you. I guess I'm doing it now.
I went from a 4 megapixel to a 10 megapixel and I think the most difference I see is in the vibrancy of the colors.
My hubby is calling...I must run.
I've been praying for you.
