This is a house that is for sale in Eufaula. Can't you imagine yourself drinking sweet tea on that porch. Right now there are many charming homes for sale in Eufaula.
Another great home on Randolf street. This is the favorite street in Eufaula and is in the Seth Lore Historic District. You can almost hear the horse carriages from the past.
I am amazed at the gingerbread trim on so many houses. It is a feast for the eyes.
This is a perfect cottage. Dont' you think?
Dave would like this drive way. I would like this lawn.
This house was on the Pilgrimage tour and it appears that the builder of ours was the builder of this one as well as there are so many simular features. This home is for Sale and is two doors down from ours. Don't you just love the wraparound porch?

The houses in Eufaula come in all shapes and sizes. From the grand Shorter Mansion to sweet Victorian cottages. In this town you can find your dream home.
The Shorter Mansion is owned by the Historical Society and is open for tours and weddings and teas. This is such a beautiful place to visit. If you are interested in wonderful tours don't miss the Candelight tours at Christmas time. I actually am thinking about volunteering. So you just might see me there. This stunning home was on tour this year during Pilgrimage. I have never seen anything like it before. It appears that no cost was spared. This is truely how the other half live.
This is Stella's house just a few houses down from mine. The story is they accidently set their house on fire while painting. He used a blow torch to remove old paint and it got into the wood somehow and set the upstairs on fire. The paint job looks nice though.
This is a house that can be seen from our backyard. Or rather the top of the house can be seen.

Becky The homes are beautiful. My favorite is the first though it looks aqua.Love it.Thanks for sharing,Jen
OMG Becky!!! I'm in love with all of them, I don't even think I could pick a fav, I would take anyone of them. This town looks amazing. Do they have a quaint little downtown there? It looks like they should. That would be so fun to do the tour and to be a host would also be so fun. We don't have many old houses here but they did recently save two of them here in Davie and they moved them to the Old Davie Schoolhouse, I thought it would be fun to learn about them and be a tour guide there. They also need some help decorating! They didn't do a very good job, can you imagine me in there, moving furniture, decorating, they would think I was nuts, oh did you want a tour, I was just rearranging a little LOL.
Thanks for the house tour, I loved it.Hope you don't mind me asking but do you know what those houses are selling for in that area? Just curious.
Hugs~Kelly
Becky, I love every single one of these houses. They are each exquisite.
What beautiful Southern homes, Becky. I would take any of them. So glad the paint fire didn't destory that darling home.
I added your link to my post today,
Deborah
Hi Becky,
I love, love, love all these beautiful homes. Thank you for this tour - they all touch my heart. Also, I'm thrilled you added me to your sidebar (as a fellow old home lover). I am going to add you as well - now if I could just convince my hubby to move out of this state so we could find "our dream home"!
Happy weekend to you,
xo~Tracie

Becky, every photo just got better and better ~ those are some gorgeous homes!
Wow, thank you for the wonderful tour of homes! I love the "old South." Take care.
Hi Becky...
You asked if it was HARD for me to sell all of my belongings...and move.
The 1st time I did it, it was difficult in the beginning...but as people started arriving for my sale and buying...it wasn't! LOL!!!
What I did was purchase items I thought would have some resale value...and when I moved, would sell them...sometimes even for MORE than I paid for them!!!
When I had an entire 2 bedroom and a Den apartment full of furniture and "stuff" to sell...and had asked God's direction...put an Estate Sale ad in the paper...and people began arriving, I knew I had done the right thing. I saw God's hand in the sale when EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING I had for sale was sold in the 1st of 3 days I'd advertised the sale for. As a matter of fact...everything had been sold within 6 hours. It was all paid for in CA$H and taken away within 6 hours!!!
So...NO, it's NOT hard anymore to do this type of thing.
Tom didn't mind selling all of HIS belongings from the old house before we moved here...he actually got $$$$ for a sectional he was ready to throw out!!! LOL!!!

Jan
Hey Becky! I loved these beautiful old houses. This town is full of charm....and there are some nice antique stores to plunder in down town too. We went to Eufaula last summer to visit a friend that moved there to live with her daughter. We have some more friends that just moved up there recently. They were actually from that town and are moving back there. We haven't had the chance to visit them yet. I just loved the town and the people were so friendly too. I know you are looking forward to living here, once you get the Victorian ready! How exciting! By the way....no rush sweetie on the tag. I know it's alot to think about. Just have fun with it and do it whenever you feel like it. LOL!
xoxo,
Queenie!

I'll take the house two doors down thank you. Then we could sip tea together on our front porches switching off from one porch to the next of course. What a beautiful neighborhood! MUST THINK ABOUT RUBY FLOORS!
Have a blessed evening!

I just love the old southern homes. What a great neighborhood. Today we have so many cookie cutters, it makes you appreciate the older homes and the craftsmanship.
