Lilac and Purple and Photography Questions

4 Megapixels to 10 Megapixels that is the question
I am doodling around with a friend's camera trying to justify getting a new camera.

She has 10 megapixels and my old camera only had 4.

Do you see the difference between the 10 and the 4 of previous posts?

When you take still life photos what setting do you use?

Do you have lights off or on?

What kind of camera do you have?

Purple is my daughter's favorite color and so the upstairs suite was decorated with Natalie in mind. They say that purple is the color of royalty. I suppose we called her Princess enough for her to believe that she was. Our boys would definately say that she is the Princess. You can see more of the Natalie's Suite by going to http://www.roselakecottage.blogspot.com/

The old necklace was my Great Great Grandmother's. It has amethest stones which are also my birthstone so my Grandmother gave it to me when I got married.
I found the perfect Christmas Ornaments for the room.
I'll be showing you that tree before you know it.
Can you believe that Christmas is only 60 days away?

Pink Saturday and Fabulous Finds

Imagine my excitement when I found these two PINK Ironstone pitchers at a garage sale. I paid only $7. I have seen plenty of white old Ironstone but never pink. The lady that I bought them from was from Germany and the Ironstone is from England.
Does anybody out there know about this Ironstone?
It is called Princess Pink.
Now imagine his excitement when Ellen came into his life.
This is my neighbor Vern. He was a faithful husband that lost his wife a few years ago. She had been sick for so many years and he loved her until the end and with her passing I watched a very sad man.
Then he met Ellen. And a smile is now on that face and
I guess you can say he is tickled pink with his fabulous find!

Don't they look charming under the Pink Mandeville vine?

And don't you just love a Happy Ending?

The End..but wait..want more?

Then run on over to http://www.howsweetthesound.typepad.com/

and visit with Beverly and the girls for more wonderful

pink things.

A Beautiful Day Remembered

When she started down the aisle I had to catch my breath. Was that my little girl? When did she grow up? And though I always felt she was a pretty girl, this day she was beautiful.

My mother use to call her little Windex eyes because she had eyes that were just the color of a windex bottle. And boy could she make those eyes talk.

I had the time of my life getting everything ready for her special day. I really think she had the wedding of my dreams. The little church was a darling Historical church. Her brother sang, and the day was perfect for beach pictures . The sun seemed to know just where to set over the boat at the marina. And it was a beautiful memory!
If you are planning a tropical wedding we are letting the arrangements go for a song. http://www.freshgatherings.blogspot.com/.

Friday Family Photos-Memories and Contracts

Nick is the youngest of our family and is currently in the Army.

Lately I have been finding little momentos of his childhood.

The other day I found the cute little clay handprint.

And today I found the Mother's day card he had made. Those little handprints were everywhere believe me. He was a very active child. Today I just kiss them and wish the real handprints were here.

But this contract was the cutest thing that I found. We keep it in the piano bench.

I wanted him to play a musical instrument and so the deal was he would if he could have a gold fish. lol

Being a wise mother and knowing the history of our previous gold fish I added the second page of the contract. The flute didn't last long and the gold fish did die so fishing and baseball became his passions. His childhood memories will always be mine.

These Friday favorites were brought to you today because of Deborah. She is the host today of Friday Family Favorite Fotos. Thank you for joining me and please go tell everyone hi.
