I am proud to be an American. I am proud of the Red White and Blue! I am proud to be the Daughter of a Soldier who fought in the Korean War, A Wife of a Marine who served during the Vietnam war and the Mother of a Son who serves in the Army presently.
I will never forget Sept 11th. I was making preparations to go to my father's funeral.
We were to fly out that day. But there was no flying out,not on that day. I did not make it to my father's funeral. He had a Veteran's funeral, a flag drapped cofin and a 21 gun shot salute. It was considered quite an honor to him. This was the way he wanted it. I only saw the pictures but nevertheless was I proud. The pictures of that day and the days that followed are etched in my mind. To the Victims and Heroes of that day I will forever remember. And to my Father and his service of this great country. I salute you and miss you Dad! GOD BLESS AMERICA!
