I like having this guy around!

We have a pretty little lake behind our home. When we bought our lot I always believed that having this lake would increase the number of days in my hubby dears life.
Corporate world can be so stressful. My husband works hard and I so appreciate all that he has done and does daily for our family. I can't tell you how many pictures I have taken of him out on the lake. It is peaceful to me. Maybe because I know that he is not only fishing but carrying on a conversation with the Lord.
He is a good man
I adore him!
If you happen to read this honey, I love you xxxooo

A Wonderful Lunch too

You won't just find the atmosphere to be the only beautiful thing at the Garden Gate Tea Room
Would you just look at the beautiful presentation of this meal my hubby and I shared.

Yes it was as wonderful as it looked.
In fact is was even better.
This room had just had a large gathering so it is a bit of a mess but I wanted to show you that it had a White Baby Grand Piano. Kind of makes me want to paint my piano white.

I loved what they did with this old sideboard. For those of you who build furniture here is a good idea.

And so this is all of my pictues of the tea room
I hope you enjoyed your visit with me.
Remember...if you came to visit me..I would take you here!

Pink Saturday and the Garden Gate Tea Room

I have been posting all week on a beautiful Tea Room in Mt Dora Florida.

The Garden Gate Tea Room

This was our sweet hostess. All of the ladies wear such beautiful clothing.

I love her pretty outfit. I swear I see pink in it.

My eyes went up and down and all around this wonderful place discovering every little detail and bit of eye candy that I could. I love the chandelier with it's pretty little shades with Pink roses, don't you?

Hubby and I sat here for lunch. It was a sweet little corner all to ourselves with lots of pink touches and of course LOVE. Having had a romantic shop of our own my hubby is very comfortable around pretty things. Not every guy is like that. I am blessed.

I fell in love with this mosaic table with it's pretty pink roses. Isn't it pretty?

While I took my picture of this lovely corner of the shop, there he was," not my hubby"a man definately uncomfortable with the girly surroundings with all the touches of pink and frills. You can see it all over his face. Little does he know that his picture is all over blogland now. lol
And showing up on Pink Saturday no less.
Now make sure you click on the picture and zoom in.
You have got to see his expression!
Now for some more wonderful pink things be sure to go to our favorite Pink Saturday Hostess, Beverly at http://www.howsweetthesound.typepad.com/

And if you would like to see another of my favorite shops go over to my other blog

http://www.oneshabbyoldhouse.blogspot.com/

See you there.

Building a Beautiful Place

Let's go outside and see what this tea room will be offering.
Just outside this room there is a wonderful place being created for outside weddings.
I am totally in love with outside places created from old windows and columns.
Can't you just invision a wedding here?

With a gazebo all done up in flowers.

This project is under construction and I can't wait to see it finished.
I think from what we have seen so far the owner is building a beautiful memory for the brides.

Dripping in Lace

If you are a lace lover you will think that you have hit the mother load on this post.
Everywhere you look in this wonderland is lace lace and more lace.
Don't you just love the lights under the lace?
I hope that you can see all the different lace that was used to cover this window.
I know it is a little dark but from where I am sitting you can see the detail of the lace.

This door leads out onto a courtyard that is used for weddings.
But just look at this beautiful door and how it has been dressed up.
It is so pretty who would ever want to exit?

Look how sweet the little dresses are against the lace curtains.

I hope I didn't annoy anyone. But I just couldn't help myself.

I was so focused on the lace that I didn't see that I took a picture of someone taking a bite.
How rude of me.

I have enough picture to post all the way to Pink Saturday.
I do hope you will come back.

The Bridal Room

I changed my mind and I am going to start the tour with the Bridal Tea Room
This is a separate building. Places like this just make you feel pretty.
I loved the vintage bridal gown collection.
I hope to one day find one. Athough my own gown would be considered vintage now. lol

Aren't these mosaic dishes a great idea?

These tables sat under a gazebo. It was lunch time when we arrived and I was happy to be able to take pictures.
The owner of this store is a wonderful lady.
I met her once and she was so gracious and even gave me her phone number
and told me that she would share recipes and give advise if a Tea Room would ever be something I would like to try. You just don't meet people like that often.
hmmmmm....I think it would be fun.
I can see one in Eufaula.

Another lovely place to sit and enjoy the wonderful food made from scratch daily.

I hope you have enjoyed the Bridal room.
Tomorrow we will tour the other building.
Don't forget to wear your hat and come back.
Until then.

If you came for a visit I would take you here

Last week was the Antique Extravaganza in Mt Dora Florida.
It was really cold that day and so instead of going there we opted to go into the town of Mt Dora.
I adore this town and if you came to visit me I would take you there.
This would be our first stop.
The Garden Gate Tea Room. Oh honey! A wonderful Girl's day out or even better yet a wonderful place for your honey and you to spoon over sweet tea and yummy food.

The teapots are waiting for your visit.
Please come inside and warm up.

Sign in my dear.
I will be showing you one of the prettiest tea rooms in Florida.
We will start right here in the entry tomorrow.
I took over 40 pictures and each one is simply divine.
See you tomorrow.
