There is a reason I have been missing

I was not eaten by an alligator, or snake bitten but the reason for my being MIA from blogging has been the work we have been doing on our backyard.
We finally have the gazebo just right. I can't wait until the flowers get taller but am pleased with what I see each morning.
The hydrangeas are in full bloom. It isn't easy growing them here in Florida so each year I am more than a little tickled that they are coming back with more blooms than ever.
If I cut these blooms does anyone know if I will get more?

We have planted pink mandeville vine and hopefully there will be many blooms today,
As Pink is her favorite color.

Yes, there is going to be a wedding!!
My baby boy gets married today.
A Facebook Romance.
Can you believe it?

I have missed you and I love your gazebo!
I have been trying to think of something to do in my backyard because I don't have a patio or a deck. I don't actually even have a back door. It's on the side of my house. I love what you have done!!

Hi Becky,
I have been reading your blogs for a number of months now but never commented because I didn't have a Google account. I'm now a "newbie" blogger so I wanted to say hello.

We are almost "neighbors" so I'm happy to learn hydrangeas can be grown here. I didn't know that. I have no gardening knowledge or talent whatsoever and I don't ever recall seeing them here. We plan to hire someone to do some landscaping for us in the near future so I will have to ask them about the possiblity of planting some hydrangeas for me!

Your gazebo area is just beautiful!

Nick and Brittany are getting married....TODAY??????
The gazebo looks fabulous! with all the rain, it's amazing that you were able to accomplish so much this week. Marty and I loved being with you and Dave last Sunday. As always, the conversation was wonderful...and the views were spectacular!

Hydrangeas grow fairly well in Tampa. Mom had several bushes on the lake in Lutz...they were blue. These bushes were huge!!! She rarely cut flowers to bring in the house, but I remember her dead-heading them. Don't forget these blooms will dry...at the NC house, they dry on the bush. In FL, I would probably bring them in the house or garage...our humidity can play havoc on the blooms.

Oh Becky!! Your backyard is gorgeous! I love the gazebo!! Your backyard looks a little like mine with all the water. We had a gazebo built on our dock in the water about 12 years ago..you might like that idea, too!! We have had a few weddings in our yard, too. Congratulations on your son's wedding! It will look like a fairy tale in your yard!
Hugs,
Sherry
